Pelvic health

Clinical musculoskeletal and pelvic health work.

This is a defined clinical service for pain, restriction and function around the hip and pelvic region, for men and women. Below is exactly what it covers, how a session runs, and how draping is handled.

Scope

Stated plainly, so there is nothing to guess at.

Men’s pelvic health in particular is underserved in western Brisbane. This service exists so those conversations can happen in a clinical setting.

What this service covers

Musculoskeletal assessment and treatment of the hip, pelvis, lower abdomen, gluteal group and surrounding soft tissue. Muscle energy techniques, joint mobilisation, fascial work and movement retraining, and scar tissue work after surgery.

What it does not include

This is not a sexual service and contains no element of one. There is no genital contact of any kind. If your presentation needs internal assessment or a medical opinion, I will refer you to the right practitioner.

How a session runs

We talk first about your history, symptoms and what you want from the session. I explain each technique and where I will be working before I start. You can stop or change anything at any point.

Draping and clothing

You stay draped with towels throughout, to professional association standards. Only the region being treated is uncovered, and it is re-covered before we move on. You undress only to the level you are comfortable with, and many parts of this work are done fully clothed.

Who books this

People with hip, groin, pelvic or low back pain, post-surgical clients, and anyone whose pelvic region is limiting how they move, train or work.

Referrals

No referral is needed. If you are already under a GP, physio, urologist or specialist, I will work alongside their plan.

Consent, every session

Consent is confirmed at the start and can be withdrawn at any point without explanation. Nothing proceeds without it.
